Raymond F. Naidl, age 90, who resided with his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Sheldon Niquette, 2341 Fairway Drive, Kaukauna, Wisconsin since July 2004, formerly of 3616 Easy Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday October 27, 2011 at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law.
Raymond was born July 31, 1921 in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County. He was the son of the late Joseph J. and Rose Stipek Naidl Sr. Ray served with the United States Navy from September 1942 to September 1945. He was employed with Imperial Eastman Company for 35 years from 1942 until 1983 when he retired. Ray was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Manitowoc and Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, WI. Ray was the past chairman and secretary of Eastman Employee Credit Union, past State League Director of Manitowoc County Chapter Credit Union, past president of the former St. Paul’s Catholic Church Holy Name Society, past president of the former St. Paul’s Catholic School Board, past member of the former St. Paul’s Catholic Church building, grounds and finance committee and Adoration Society. Ray served as a lay minister, communion distributor and usher. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #710, AMVETS Post #99, Wisconsin Czech’s and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Ray also was a volunteer for Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and helped deliver Mobile Meals. In past years Ray was the pitcher for Rudy’s Tavern fast pitch softball team in Reifs Mills.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Linda Naidl, Menomonee Falls, WI; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Dianne and Sheldon Niquette, Kaukauna, WI; Dorothy and Jack Reindl, Cedarburg, WI; Kathy and Toni Zucchi, Manitowoc, WI; Jean Marie Naidl, Manitowoc, WI; nine grandchildren: Scott (Julie) Niquette, Mark (Lisa) Niquette, Todd Niquette, Dean (Jackie) Niquette, Becky (Leif) Pihl, Keith Naidl, Bryan Reindl, Cassandra (Scott) Blashka, Derrick Hoffman; nine great grandchildren: Melanie, Emily, and Matthew Niquette; Mackenzie and Wesley Blashka; Linnea and Henrick Pihl; Alexander Hoffman; Jack Niquette; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Victor and Elaine Naidl, Manitowoc, WI; Lester and Charlotte Naidl, Manitowoc, WI; three sisters-in-law: Viola Naidl, Manitowoc, WI; Katie Naidl, Two Rivers, WI; Nancy Naidl, Manitowoc, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years: Helen; one son: Francis; one great granddaughter: Madeline Helen Blashka; four brothers: George, Joseph, Norbert and Leo Naidl; one sister: Lucille Sauer.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 31, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo Blvd. with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Immedicately following the mass, military rites will be accorded at the church by the AMVETS Post #99. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Kellnersville. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service to conclude the visitation at 7:00 p.m. lead by Deacon Clarence Naidl. The visitation will continue on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo Blvd. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
