Alan H. Busse, age 57, a resident of Panama City Beach, Florida, and formerly of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.

Alan was born on July 19, 1955 in Manitowoc to the late Ervin and Etta Boldt Busse. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1974. Alan began his working career with his father as a repairman at Busse Radio Doctors in Manitowoc. He had also volunteered for the Silver Creek Fire Department. Alan later went on to become the chief engineer for Holiday Inn in Manitowoc. He completed his career as chief engineer at By The Sea Resorts in Panama City Beach. Alan loved building and fixing computers for himself and others. He also enjoyed spending his time on the beautiful beaches in Florida.

Survivors include his wife: Cassandra Busse, Manitowoc; two children: Jennifer (Matthew) Holmes, Kewaunee; and Alan H. Busse II, Valders; three grandchildren: Lakia, Matthew, and Alexander; brother: John (Gail) Busse, Stockbridge; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Joe and Jean Blashka, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law: Christine Beilfuss and Terry Seal; brother-in-law: Kit Bashaw; also other relatives and friends.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alan's family would like to send a special thank you to Alan's coworkers at By the Sea Resorts. They were more than coworkers; they were his friends. They treated both Alan and his family with kindness, respect, generosity, and compassion. There are no words to accurately express how appreciated they are.

As an organ donor, Alan gave a great gift to many others. His gift will provide a longer and fuller life to those who were uncertain if they would see a tomorrow, and also hope and peace to their family and friends.
