August 12, 1936 – October 27, 2022
Alice Rieckmann, age 86, a resident of Manitowoc, and formerly of Duluth, MN, entered eternal life on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Mary's Nursing Home at Felician Village.
Alice was born on August 12, 1936 in Menahga, MN to the late Brynolf and Esther (Blomberg) Hill. She graduated from high school in Duluth, MN. Alice went on to do secretarial work for St. Louis County Sheriff Department, Minnesota Power, and Silver Lake College. She retired at age 65. On May 18, 1983, Alice married Kenneth Rieckmann.
Survivors include Alice's devoted husband of 39 years, Ken; son, Jeff Cole; two stepchildren, Karwyn (John) Peterson and Dean (Heidi) Rieckmann; two sisters, Darlene (Frank) Moody and MaryAnn Robnik; eight grandchildren, John (Chante) Peterson, Josh Peterson, Cray Rieckmann, Carson (Shawn) Peskie, Joshua (Julie) Cole, Jordan Cole, Calli (Ryan) Cole, and Clair (Danny) Cole; four great granddaughters (and another on the way), Macy, Natilee, Cricket, and Camlyn; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Cole; son, Tim Cole; sister, Esther Canada; and brother-in-law, Dennis Robnik.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer will officiate with burial of Alice's cremated remains to be held at a later date. Those who wish to do so may join a live video stream of the memorial service on Tuesday when the memorial service begins at 11 a.m. on the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home Facebook page. Following the service, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
