Anita L. Sinnaeve, age 77, a resident of Whitelaw, passed away while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Anita was born on September 28, 1938 in Alberta, MI to the late Charles and Lucille (Barth) Wilcox. On August 16, 1958, Anita married Jerry Sinnaeve in Flatrock, MI. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage together until Jerry preceded her in death on March 27, 2010. Anita was employed as a CNA for 22 years at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, taking Polaroid instamatic pictures, and rides along the lakeshore; but above all, she found joy in helping others and being with her family and friends. Anita was an active member as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include Anita's three children: Tammy Prochnow, Manitowoc; Connie (Keith) Sturman, Whitelaw; and Joseph (Debbie) Sinnaeve, Whitelaw; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters: Sharon (Erving) Schuette, Manitowoc; and Joyce (Leonard) Schaub, Suttons Bay, MI; three brothers: Arnold (Sharon) Wilcox, Manitowoc; Robert (Silvia) Wilcox, CA; and Daniel (Dierdre) Commins, Lake Ann, MI; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anita was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Lucille Wilcox; husband: Jerry Sinnaeve; two sisters: Shirley Zastawny Netzorg and Carol Stevens; and brother: Eugene Wilcox.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4915 Hecker Road, Manitowoc from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. Mr. Roger Ringmeier will officiate.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair steets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
