Audrey Olson, age 84, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life peacefully while surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Audrey was born on December 25, 1932 in Manitowoc to the late Henry and Helen (Kretsch) Bushman. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. On August 20, 1955, Audrey married Donald V. Olson at First Reformed Church in Manitowoc. After attending the Manitowoc Vocational School, she had worked as a nurses' aid at Park Lawn Nursing Home, private residences, and concluded her working career at Holy Family Convent until her retirement. Audrey enjoyed taking summer trips to the cottage in Shawano and Chaudoir's Dock with her family, baking and cooking for her family, gardening, sewing, doing puzzles, playing Solitare and beating Don in King's Corners, following the Packers and Brewers, attending her grandchildren's events, traveling with her husband Don and close friends, and above all, she enjoyed spending her time with her family – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include Audrey's husband of 62 years, Don; five children, Terry (Marjorie) Olson, Shoto; Alan Olson, Phoenix, AZ; Todd (Lori) Olson, Manitowoc; Gary (Tricia) Olson, Manitowoc; and Susan (Dave) Logan, Simi Valley, CA; seven grandchildren, Dave, Tyler, Alysa (Jarod), Joshua, Callie, Libby, and Mason; two great grandsons, Liam and Silas; sister-in-law, Ruth Bushman, Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Helen Bushman; sister, Ethel; and four brothers, Oran, Roger, Kenneth, and Henry "Hank" Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1501 Marshall Street, Manitowoc with Rev. Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Audrey's cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, both at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
