Barbara A. Spaulding, age 67, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation.

Barb was born on September 23, 1948 in Manitowoc to Mildred Bushman Bogenschutz and the late Richard Bogenschutz. She had spent her high school years taking classes at Holy Family Convent and later completed her education by obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Education from Silver Lake College. Barb had taught at various schools before retiring from the Mishicot School District in 2005. She enjoyed doing embroidery and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include Barb's daughter: Nakia (Keith) Winkel, Manitowoc; mother: Mildred Bogenschutz, Manitowoc; three granddaughters: Sabrina (Ryan) Haupt, Megan and Emily Cohan; two great grandchildren: Bennett and Brooklyn Haupt; two brothers: Leonard (Barbara) Bogenschutz, Howards Grove; and Rick (Judy) Bogenschutz, Cleveland; sister-in-law: Lynn Bogenschutz, Sheboygan; special aunt: Lucille Strauss, Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her father: Richard Bogenschutz; sister: Ann Marie Bogenschutz; and brother: Gary Bogenschutz.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand – 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Warden with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum.
