Beatrice F. Eberhardt, age 89, of 2022 Granger Road, Manitowoc, entered eternal life late Friday evening, March 21, 2014 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village in Manitowoc.
Beatrice was born December 23, 1924 in Maple Grove, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marcella Bradley Fenlon. Beatrice was a graduate of East DePere High School in 1942. She continued her education at the Manitowoc Teachers College for two years and later at Silver Lake College in Manitowoc. Beatrice taught for 8 years in various Manitowoc County schools and then 20 years in elementary education in the Manitowoc Public School System from where she retired in 1987. On July 17, 1948 she married Fred E. Eberhardt at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2011. Beatrice was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the St. Clare Society of the church and the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the Manitowoc County Retired Teachers Association and the Manitowoc Education Association. Beatrice had been a long-time volunteer at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
She is survived by one son: Edward Eberhardt, Madison, WI; one daughter and son-in-law: Amy and William Dixon, Monona, WI; one granddaughter: Molli (Corey) Davey, Eau Clair, WI; two sisters: Betty Baeten, DePere, WI; Florence Donovan, DePere, WI; many nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph and Marcella Fenlon; husband: Fred Eberhardt on September 27, 2011; one son: Steven Eberhardt.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14 th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Following the funeral services there will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
