Bernard Levendusky Jr. age 86, of 1909 Knuell Street, Manitowoc, Wisconsin entered eternal life on Friday, September 27, 2013 with his wife and two daughters by his side at the family residence.
Bernie was born on August 26, 1927 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Bernard and Marion Rohrer Levendusky Sr. Bernie served with the United States Marine Corps overseas in China during World War II. After being honorably discharged he returned to Manitowoc and was employed with Manitowoc Company for 46 years retiring in December 1990 as maintenance supervisor. On February 3, 1951 he married Betty Bishop at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Bernie was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Betty; two daughters and sons-in-law: Lynn and Kim Graykowski, Manitowoc, WI; Kim and Tim Ryan, Manitowoc, WI; three grandchildren: Anthony Graykowski, Cassidy Ryan, and Camryn Ryan; favorite cousin: Vernon Lemberger, Whitelaw, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard and Marion Levendusky Sr.; two brothers: Jerome and Robert Levendusky.
Private funeral services will be held for the family on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Beaudry with entombment to take place at the mausoleum. Military rites will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign War Otto Oas Post #659.
