Obituary

Bernice T. Isaacson, age 73, entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay.

Bernie was born on August 9, 1947 in Brattleboro, Vermont.  She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary Krushinski Truman Jr.  Bernie was a graduate of Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH with the class of 1965.  She was employed as an administrative assistant at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and as a civil service employee at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.  Bernie enjoyed swimming, reading, bowling and outdoor activities.  She also enjoyed spending time one on one with her family and friends.  Bernie lived for spoiling her fur grandbabies and rooting for the New England Patriots.

She is survived by three children and one son-in-law, Karyn and Douglas Nelson, Manitowoc, Sean Isaacson, Manitowoc, and Jason Kalafut, Green Bay; five brothers and sisters, Henry (Susan) Truman, Lebanon, NH, Thomas (Ellen) Truman, Lebanon, NH, Dolly Carr, Stockton, AL, Jesse Truman III, Fairlee, VT, Susan (Bob) Ingalls, Newport, NH; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and their extended families.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mary Truman Jr., daughter, Kimberly Kalafut, two brothers, Joseph and Edward Truman, brother-in-law, Eddie Carr, and niece, Jode Truman.

Private graveside services for the family will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.

The family would like to convey their gratitude to Dr. Andrea Poulson-Port, Dr. Mark Moran, Dr. Brian Woodbridge, and the nurses and hospice staff at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay for the special care and comfort they provided Bernice.  The family would like to express extra special appreciation to nurse Jeni of Aurora Women's Health in Two Rivers for her professionalism and compassion for Bernice in her final days.
