Bernice "Jan" LaCombe, age 89, a resident of Sheboygan, entered eternal life on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.

Jan was born on October 12, 1930 in Menominee, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late John and Marie Vleck Slavick.  Jan was a graduated of Menominee High School with the class of 1948.  She continued her education at the South Chicago Community Hospital School of Nursing from 1949 to 1952.  She became employed as a registered nurse at the South Shore Clinic in Milwaukee, a job she had until she retired in 1993.  On June 25, 1955 she married Edward B. LaCombe in Menominee, Michigan.  He preceded her in death on December 27, 2017.  Jan was very devoted to her family and nursing career.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Mark) Giese, Cleveland; son, Guy LaCombe, Crystal Falls, Michigan; special friend, Beverly Doran,+ along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
