Bernice (Moldenhauer) Schramm, age 93, of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Bernice was born in the Town of Liberty on August 22, 1933, daughter of the late William and Ella (Fischer) Moldenhauer. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her confirmation verse is Acts 4:12, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Bernice graduated from Valders High School in 1951. On September 4, 1955, Bernice married William “Bill” Schramm at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Bill preceded her in death on December 12, 2025. She worked as a customer service representative for 27 years at M & I Bank, retiring in 1993. Bernice was always a very caring person and loved doing things for her children and grandchildren. She and her loving husband, Bill, enjoyed traveling and spending time with their close friends.

Survivors include Bernice’s son, Darrell (Karen) Schramm, Manitowoc; daughter, Nola (Paul) Burski, Lakeville, MN; four grandchildren, Jean (Jesse) Engelbrecht, Milwaukee; Aaron (Ashley) Schramm, New Berlin; Brooke (Brad) Claxton, Manitowoc; and McKenzie Burski, Lakeville, MN; five great grandchildren and another expected in October; sister-in-law, Audrey (Richard) Sauve, Two Rivers; also nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ella Moldenhauer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Karl and Laurine Schramm; husband, Bill; four brothers, William (infant), Howard, Paul, and Oscar Moldenhauer; sister, Lucille (Moldenhauer) Vetter; three brothers-in-law, Vernon Vetter, Harold Krauss, and Russell Pederson; and five sisters-in-law, Hazel, Virginia, Ruth and Marion Moldenhauer, and Junette Pederson; and nephew, William “Bill” Vetter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7531 English Lake Road, Manitowoc. Pastor Micah Martin will officiate with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery. A luncheon for family and friends will then be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
