Betty Jane Griesbach, age 81, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life early Saturday morning, November 9, 2013 at Whitetail Estates in Manitowoc.
Betty was born on June 23, 1932 in Manitowoc to the late Peter and Agnes Becker Neuser. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. On August 30, 1952, Betty married John James Griesbach at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. John preceded her in death on May 5, 1995. Betty was a loving and devoted mother and wife. Aside from being a homemaker, she had worked at Mirro Corporation and completed her working career at Data Exchange in Manitowoc. Betty enjoyed gardening, fishing, doing crossword puzzles, classic movies, playing card games and bingo at Whitetail Estates, and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her eight children: Steven (Bonnie) Griesbach, Manitowoc; Michael (Jeanine) Griesbach, Gardendale, AL; Mark Griesbach, Theresa (Michael) Towel, John Griesbach, Kristine (Michael) Appel, Luke Griesbach and fiancée, Megumi Onoda, and Paul Griesbach, all of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; also other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and son, David.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate with burial to take place at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
