Betty Jane Hagen, age 92, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Monday afternoon, June 26, 2017 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village in Manitowoc.

Betty was born August 22, 1924 in Kewaunee. She was the daughter of the late Jay and Louise Hupke Wells. Betty graduated from Kewaunee High School with the class of 1942. On May 10, 1947 she married Stewart W. Hagen at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Kewaunee. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2002. Betty was self-employed as a beautician and was the former owner of the Beauty Room in Two Rivers. She was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church and Grace Circle.

She is survived by four children: Chris (Jerry) Behnke, Manitowoc; Sally (Dale) Becker, Wausau; Carol Nelson, Manitowoc; David (Jeremiah) Perkins- Hagen, Mayville; sister-in-law: Ellen Wells; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jay and Louise Wells; husband: Stewart; one grandson: Alan Becker; three brothers: Gordon, Burton, and Lyle Wells; two sisters: Lucille Peserik and Beatrice Siebert; one son-in-law: Dennis Nelson.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 2426 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Pankow. Relatives and friends may call at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral service cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of her cremated remains at Riverview Cemetery in Kewaunee at a later date.
