Obituary

Betty J. Rosinsky died peacefully with her husband Bob by her side and surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday evening, February 22, 2018.

She was born August 9, 1925 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Guy and Margaret Kelnhofer. Betty attended St. Paul's Catholic School and graduated from Lincoln High School, where she met her future husband Bob Rosinsky as a sophomore, in 1943. She supported the war effort by going to work for the FBI immediately after graduation, and entered Holy Family School of Nursing in 1945, graduating in 1948. Betty married Bob on January 17, 1948 and they recently celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary. She was a pediatric nurse at Holy Family Hospital, held positions in the field of mental and home health care and devoted years to volunteering in Manitowoc, including Peter's Pantry for 20 years. Betty and Bob enjoyed their years of retirement travelling with friends across North America and around the world. She was a successful gardener, wicked card player, enthusiastic walker, avid reader and loyal friend. Betty was known for her warm demeanor, shining smile and gentle manner with those around her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Margaret, her brothers Guy, Bob and Martin, her sister Ruth and her son Jon. She is survived by her husband Bob, her son Bob with wife Ruth and daughters Jill White with husband Paul, Peggy Weber with husband Greg and Carrie Lower with husband Rick. She will be missed by her grandchildren Eric, Mindy, Justin (Sarah), Lucas (Valerie), Kaylana, Beau (Kennadi), Brianna and Robert, and her great-grandchildren Dylan, Cobie, Brennan, Ashton, Calvin, Lana, Leah, Mazie, Willa, Gwen, Aubrianna, Nevi and Liam.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14 th Street, Manitowoc.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain.  Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.  Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a prayer service to conclude the visitation at 6 p.m led by Deacon Alan Boeldt.  The visitation will continue at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
