Bradley "Bud" G. Decker, age 83, a resident of Manitowoc, and formerly of Loveland, CO, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at his home.
Bud was born on July 17, 1942 in Manitowoc to the late George and Annie (Herdina) Decker. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1960. On March 31, 1962, Bud married Judith Hansen at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He began his working career at Jochoem Auto Parts, then went to Schuette Construction and Wanek Construction, and later owned and operated his own dump truck company, BG Decker Trucking Company. In the early 80's, Bud and Judy moved to Loveland, CO where Bud worked as a "Final Disposition Engineer" for the city of Loveland. They lived in the Big Thompson Canyon in Colorado for 37 years. There, Bud loved the mountains and wildlife. He enjoyed collector cars and auctions.
Survivors include Bud's wife of 63 years, Judy; two sons, Scott "Duke" (Karen) Decker and Brian (Sharon) Decker; three granddaughters, Dani Decker, Dayna Decker and Josie Decker; two great grandchildren, Alexa and Caden; five siblings, David (Cheryl) Decker, Delmar (Lu Anne) Decker, Kathy Schaaf, Emily Decker and Sarah Decker; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Cheryl Kohls.
A Life Celebration Social for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Bud's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
