Obituary

Bradley Robert Schneider, age 73, of Manitowoc, passed away on January 19, 2026, at his home.

Brad was born July 17, 1952, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to the late Robert Eugene and Colleen Cecelia Schneider. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1970. Brad continued his education at UW–Manitowoc and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from UW–Green Bay. Throughout his professional life, Brad worked with several assisted living homes in the Manitowoc area, most recently Homes for Independent Living, where he was known for his genuine compassion, patience, and deep commitment to the well-being of those in his care.

A lifelong lover of music, Brad was widely recognized in the community for his exceptional talent as a guitarist. He was a member of several local bands, including The Untouchables, Cyber Jam, and The Barstool Pirates. Brad also shared his musical gifts through regular performances in pit orchestras with The Masquers and other theater groups at the Capitol Civic Center. Music was not just a hobby for Brad—it was a way he connected with others and enriched his community. In addition, he enjoyed fixing computers and was always willing to help friends and family with their technology needs.

Brad is survived by his children, Neil Schneider (Timothy) of Chicago, Brian Schneider (Jesus) of Chicago, and Anne Schneider of West Allis; his brothers, Greg Schneider of Manitowoc and Jeff Schneider (Jolene) of Oshkosh; and his grandson, James McGee of West Allis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene and Colleen Cecelia Schneider, and his sister-in-law, Paula Schneider.
