January 14, 1993 – January 19, 2024
Brett J. Schuette, age 31, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully from natural causes at his home on Friday, January 19, 2024 and joined his father in eternal life.
Brett was born on January 14, 1993 in Green Bay to Katherine (Cisler) Schuette and the late Guy Schuette. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2011. Brett worked at Stecker Machine Company as a Manufacturing Engineer for the past 15 years where he took great pride in his work. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with friends, traveling to new locations, hiking, fishing, camping, trap shooting, and spending time up north. Within the last year, he traveled to 12 states, five national parks, and countless state parks. Brett enjoyed woodworking, crafting and designing on his laser. The things he enjoyed the most was making memories and spending time with the love of his life, Amanda.
Survivors include Brett's mom, Kathy; the love of his life, Amanda Baryenbruch; sister, Rebecca (Brandon) Schmoock; many aunts and uncles: Mike (Sue) Cisler, Pat (Laurie) Cisler, Greg Cisler, Vince Cisler, Jeff (Mary) Cisler, Mary Einwald, Christine Cisler, Mary Hebert, Karen (James) Tuschl, Erwin (Sharon) Schuette, James Schuette, Robert (Clare) Schuette, Gregory (Jane) Schuette, a special cousin, Matt Schuette; Amanda's parents, Andy and Luanne Baryenbruch; along with many cousins and other relatives. He is also survived by many life long friends: Brandon and Ashley Ewen, Zakk and Kylie Seefeldt, Kole and Courtney Wiltman, Kevin and Shelby Bundy, Travis and Kiley Ryder, Kayleen Rothmund, Mike Kurtzweil, Grant Zimmer, and many others that touched his life over the years. Brett was preceded in death by his father, Guy; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Marie Cisler; paternal grandparents, Erwin and Josephine Schuette; Godfather, Rob Schuette; and aunts and uncles: June Anthony, Nancy Lee, JoAnn Thom, Jerome and Elizabeth Schuette, and Jacquelyn Schroeder.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Matt Collie will officiate and cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. A reception will then be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
A celebration of Brett's life will also be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at The Hideout, 4131 Clover Road, Manitowoc from Noon to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Brett's name.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
