Obituary

The Lord opened His arms to take our father and grandfather back home to be with the love of his life. Carl P. Mueller Sr. was lifted up to the heavens on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.

Carl was born on September 15, 1921 in Stockbridge to the late Nicholas and Mary (Raddatz) Mueller. He was raised by his parents on the family farm with his five brothers and four sisters. After going to a dance with his brothers, he met the love of his life, Geraldine Klein. On January 12, 1943, they were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. Geraldine preceded Carl in death on August 14, 2011. He worked for Rahr Malting / Anheuser Busch as a maltster for over 40 years. Carl was involved with St. Boniface Athletic Club, raising funds for youth sports, played dartball, and was involved with CYO / Kenny's softball teams. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Carl was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Survivors include two sons: Don (Sue) Mueller, Manitowoc; and Carl (Rosie) Mueller Jr., Wausaukee; four daughters: Marianne (Randy) Krueger, Wayside; Lorraine (Carl) Clevenger, Kellnersville; Jeannie (Tim) Hinds, Manitowoc; and Kay Mueller, Manitowoc; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Irene Klein, Green Bay; friend: Ella Jean Kemp, California; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson: Scott Alan Jacobson; one great great grandson: Paulie; four sisters: Lioba, Mathilda, May, and Catherine; five brothers: Jerome, Nicholas "Claude", Felix, Cyril, and Joe; two sons-in-law: Thomas Jacobson and Jerry Johnson; also many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand – 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Alan Boeldt at 7:30 p.m. The visitation will continue at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences can be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
