Obituary

Carol M. Georgenson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 28, 2026, at age 91, at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital. Carol was born on August 17, 1934, in Manitowoc to her parents Leona (Radandt) and Elmore Heinz. After graduating from Lincoln High School, she worked at Mirro. On September 22, 1956, she married Gerald Georgenson at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Manitowoc. After raising their four children, Carol went to work at Holy Family Convent as the Switchboard Operator for 28 years until her retirement. Carol was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Parish where she was active in the St. Clare and St. Theresa Societies. In addition, she was a volunteer at Felician Village. While Carol certainly loved gardening and tending to her flowers, her family was most important to her. Family gatherings celebrating holidays, birthdays, other events, and especially the family weekends in Crivitz were her greatest joy. Carol also enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends.

Carol is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gerald; children Lee (Brenda) Georgenson, Dale (Laurie) Georgenson, Bruce (Becky) Georgenson, and Amy (Dan) Soderman; grandchildren Melissa, Dana, Scott, Don, Sheri, Coree, Emily, Logan and Evan; 11 ¾ great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Bernita) Heinz; sister-in-law Donna Rott; brothers-in-law Martin (Ann) Georgenson and Whalton "Butch" (Linda) Georgenson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judith (Thomas) Rathsack, brother Donald Heinz, parents-in-law Whalton Sr. and Delores Georgenson, and sisters-in-law Shirley Cigler and Lila (James) Foytik.
