Carol J. Neuman, age 81, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at her residence.

Carol was born on August 9, 1939 in Eau Claire to the late Louis and Viola (Zachek) Cherney.  She graduated from Lincoln High School.  On July 12, 1958, Carol married Robert J. Neuman Sr. in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on October 25, 2015.  Carol had worked at Mirro, Woolworths, and Aiken Reed.  She was forced into retirement when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1998.  Carol enjoyed her weekly visits with her son Randy and also coming up with creative projects for her good friend Andy to build.  She also liked watching her favorite TV shows, Gunsmoke and Walker Texas Ranger, and listening to Polka every Sunday morning with Ricki.

Survivors include her five children, Randy J. Neuman, Bob (Wendy) Neuman, Jr., Lori Neuman, Debra (Rick) Buda, and Julie (Andy Karbon) Neuman; five grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Dave (Cathy) Cherney; brother-in-law, Terry Rank; longtime friends, Vicki Rathsack, Greg and Dorothy Place; pet bird, Ricki Bobby; everyone of Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends.

In respect with the family's wishes, a private celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later date.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

Despite all of life's challenges Carol had to endure, she remained a beautiful, sweet, amazing woman who comforted us all – she was the heart of our family.
