Cecelia Clara (Stefl) Whitlow, age 95, a resident of Manitowoc, and formerly of Green Bay, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Magnolia Meadow in Manitowoc.

Ceil was born on July 18, 1927 in Mukwonago, WI to the late Joseph and Alice (Kolarik) Stefl. She graduated from Green Bay East High School. On December 6, 1949, Ceil married Lawrence Prefountain in Oregon. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1969. As an only child, she was very close with her parents who later moved to Oregon to be with her. Throughout her working career, Ceil had worked in retail at Montgomery Ward and Sears in Oregon. She had also owned and operated a trailer park in Oregon. Ceil enjoyed spending her time sewing and being with her pets. She had a great sense of humor and quick wit!

Ceil is survived by her stepdaughter, many cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents whom she loved dearly, Joseph and Alice Stefl; and husband, Larry Prefountain.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Blahnik will officiate with burial to take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tisch Mills at a later date. Following the memorial service, a luncheon for family and friends will follow at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
