Obituary

Chad M. Wasmer, age 48, a Valders resident, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.

He was born March 18, 1978 in Sheboygan, son of Richard and Carla (Peik) Wasmer. Chad attended Valders High School. On July 14, 2007 he married Colene Hickman. Chad was employed at Pine River Prepack then Kaytee for many years where he gained many friends. On October 22, 2019 he started his journey at Stecker Machines and gained many more friends. He was very dedicated to being a Supervisor of Shipping and Receiving and was very proud of all he accomplished at Stecker.

Chad was an avid golfer which he loved going on the yearly boys' golf outing with his friends. Most of all, he loved golfing with his parents, boys, and wife (sometimes). He was dedicated to supporting his boys in all of their sporting adventures and never missed a game unless we had to be in different counties. He was dedicated to all of his boys interests. The last few years he shot pool with his son Jason for the Smiling Moose, before that he threw bags with his partner in crime Mike Huesemann for Shadows.

Chad is survived by his wife: Colene Wasmer; his six sons: Dillan (Ally), Jason (Lily), Ethan, Quinton, Carson, and Hayden; his parents: Richard and Carla Wasmer; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Myron and Kathleen Hickman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Michelle (Dean) Jacquart, Kenny (Tina) Alfson, and Luke (Marie) Hickman; and his furry companions: dog: Rocky and cat: Shadow. He is further survived by many great aunts and great uncles, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his cousin and partner in crime: Mike Huesemann; maternal grandparents: Larry and Delorus Peik; paternal grandparents: Shirley and Joseph Wasmer Jr.; and aunts and uncles: David Peik, Ronald Peik, Mike Wasmer, and Mary Joe Wasmer.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a celebration of Chad's life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Meat's Opera Haus, 204 S. 4th Avenue, St. Nazianz.
