Challise Hope Rosinsky, age 38, a Manitowoc resident, was called home to the Lord early Saturday morning, October 21, 2017 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls, following a long battle with Huntington's disease.
She was born in Manitowoc on April 16, 1979 daughter of Lindy (Seiler) and the late Walter Rosinsky. Challise was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1997. She attended Lakeshore Technical College where she received a degree as a dental assistant. She also worked for HomeCare Health Services as a companion. Challise was active in gymnastics and band during her junior high and high school years. She also enjoyed riding her four-wheeler and watching the Green Bay Packers. Other pastimes included cooking and baking, watching Judge Judy, Ellen, and Duck Dynasty on TV, and going to Jenn's Java for coffee with Niki and Devon. Challise had a spunky, funny personality. She would often make faces and do silly things to get others to smile. She had a contagious laugh, and would snort if she laughed too hard. Challise also had a kind heart, which was evident in her care of others and lasting friendships.
Most of all, Challise loved to talk about her daughter, Devon. They both shared a love of animals and enjoyed going to the Humane Society. Challise was so very proud of Devon. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church and attended services regularly. Her faith was strong, and she had a deep love for Jesus. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, as she fought her disease with bravery and humor. She would often say, "I'm ready to go whenever God comes for me." In the winter she would say, "Well at least I don't have to shovel anymore!" She will be greatly missed, but what a blessing it is to have such a sweet angel watching over us from Heaven!
