Christine A. Miller's Obituary
Christine A. Miller, age 38, a resident of Whitelaw, entered eternal life on April 13, 2013 at her residence.
Christine was born on February 11, 1975 in Platteville to Theodore and Billidine Mieszanek Penisten, where she was raised on the family farm. She graduated from Platteville High School with the class of 1993. Christine then completed her bachelor's degree at UW-Platteville and a master's in education at Lakeland College in Sheboygan. On June 9, 2001, Christine married Joshua Miller at Whig Methodist Church in Platteville, WI. Christine was a science teacher at Washington Jr. High in Manitowoc. She enjoyed the outdoors; including gardening, biking, and an annual canoeing trip in the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota each summer.
Survivors include Christine's husband of 11 years: Joshua, Whitelaw; son: Marshall; parents: Theodore and Billidine Penisten, Platteville; 5 siblings: Michael (Pam) Penisten, Hanover, IL; Mary (Scott) Cutlip of Eustis, FL; Steve Penisten, Lancaster; Thomas (Landa) Penisten, Platteville; Katherine Penisten, Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Pleier officiating. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation will take place at a later date at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Christine's cremated remains at Whig United Methodist Church Cemetery in Platteville. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. The visitation will continue on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
