Cindy Lou Van, age 68, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Kindred Hearts of Manitowoc.
Cindy was born on December 23, 1951 in Elkhart, IN to the late Kenneth and Lucile (Ward) Seal Sr. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1970. After graduation, Cindy worked at Kelvinator in Manitowoc for over 20 years until the plant closed. She then was employed with Tecumseh until her health forced her into an early retirement. Cindy enjoyed listening to country music, watching corny movies, Hallmark movies and YouTube videos. She had an incredible sense of humor and had the ability to always make people laugh. Above all, Cindy enjoyed spending her time with her family – especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include Cindy's two daughters, Tracy (Michael) Cox and Tammy Van and her significant other, Kyle Maedke; 15 grandchildren, Stephanie, Dennis, Brittany, Cheyenne, Cody, Ariel, Michaela (Brendt), Miranda, James, Jonathan, Gabby, Dominick, Dustin, Jacob, and Mariska; nine great grandchildren, five siblings, Kenneth (Ellen) Seal Jr., Judy (Manny) LaGrew, Jim (Tanya) Seal, Jody (Connie) Seal, and Danny (Terry) Seal; the father of her children, Dennis (Cheryl) Van; special son-in-law, Joe Gonion; and her beloved pet, Sophie; also nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In respect with Cindy's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
Cindy's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Kindred Hearts and Compassus Hospice for all of the care and friendship they provided. And to Stephanie and Michaela…rest assured that your thoughtfulness and offerings have not gone overlooked. Your grandma loved you girls and appreciated all you have done for her.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11 th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc assisted the family with arrangements.
