Dale N. Miller

Dale Norman Miller, a kind, loving, intelligent and wonderfully funny man, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin and raised in Gillett, later relocated to Green Bay. He was a man who made an impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. His intelligence and curiosity were evident throughout his life, both early on in his career as a Mechanical Engineer at Kimberly Clark and closed his career as a Division Manager with Wisconsin Public Service. His employment relocated him from Green Bay to Mishicot, Chilton, Marinette, and Two Rivers. He was a devoted husband and was married to his wife Ellen for 55 years, who preceded him in passing just 8 months prior. He missed her dearly and is now reunited with her.

His most treasured role was that of a father. He took immense pride in watching his three daughters grow into accomplished, kind-hearted, and resilient women. He had a delightfully unique sense of humor that was effortless, genuine, and perfectly timed. He loved the simple pleasures of life—running (completed a full marathon), golfing, baseball, Packers & Badgers football, traveling, and spending time with people he loved. He also enjoyed crafting beer—a reflection of his patience and curiosity. He embraced life with an adventurous spirit and created countless memories through the places he traveled and in the experiences he shared with his family. He was generous and volunteered his time with several organizations, including the Chilton Rotary Club and United Way and also tutored students for years with the school district of Mishicot after he retired. He was a brilliant mathematician.

His quiet strength, kindness, and humor touched the lives of many. He leaves behind a family who loves him deeply. Dale is survived by his daughters, Stephanie, Tara and Nora, who will forever carry his memory in countless ways. He was very proud of his grandchildren, Morrigan and Owen (Tara) and Vincent and Mason (Nora), all of whom brought him tremendous joy.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home at 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc, WI from 10:30 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm. Officiating the service will be Pastor Bill Kilps.
