Dale H. Vogt, age 80, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2017 at the family residence.
Dale was born on June 17, 1936 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Henry and Cora Reuther Vogt. Dale attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1954. He then entered the United States Army serving his country for the next three years. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Dale returned to Manitowoc and became a tool and die apprentice at Mirro Aluminum and was employed there for nine years. He then became employed with Aluminum Specialty from 1967 until 1997 from where he retired. On June 20, 1959 he married Ardis Hansen at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Dale was formerly a member of the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Dale is survived by his wife of 57 years: Ardis; three children: Kim (Gary) Novak, Manitowoc; Rick (Sue) Vogt, Manitowoc; Connie "Mouse" (Bob) Bashaw, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Jeff Novak, Chad (Shauna) Novak, Jeremy Vogt, Cory Vogt, Tracey (Matt) Randerson, Kevin Bashaw, and Anna (Brandon) Sharpe; six great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Andrew, Raelynn, Kaida, Aliyah, Ellie; one brother: Donald (Janet) Vogt; Manitowoc; one brother-in-law: Leon (Judy) Hansen, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Cora Vogt; and one grandson: Michael Vogt on May 29, 1984.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Pleier. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc with military graveside rites accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 9 a.m. until the time services at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be held for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home following the military honors at Evergreen Cemetery.
