Dana Kaderabek

Dana Kaderabek, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2026, at the age of 37, leaving behind an unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Dana was born on May 12, 1989, in New Delhi, India. She was adopted in August of 1990, and we immediately fell in love with her soft and quiet personality. She was raised in Manitowoc, where she started her education in the Birth to Three program through Holiday House. She attended preschool at both the Montessori School and St. Francis Xavier. She was there through first grade, and then transferred to Monroe Elementary where she could receive more help for her learning differences, and completed sixth grade there. During her grade school years, she played violin at Monroe and received extra lessons through the Holy Family Conservatory. She also performed with Kristine Rakos School of Dance, and was on the gymnastics team through the YMCA.

Dana went to Washington Junior High School and was on the volleyball team. During those years she got the opportunity to work with some amazing teachers, Mrs. Beck , Mrs. Mertz, Mrs Wingate, Mrs. Clayton, and Mr Orth

In 2008, she graduated from Lincoln High School. During school, she worked part-time at the Cawley Company; and the summer after graduation, she worked at Dairy Queen.

She went on to be a hostess at Perkins, and later was employed at Cher-Make for 7 years, becoming a shift manager. It was during this time that she had her son, Kyree. After taking a job at Formrite, she was blessed with her second child, Yasmin. Dana took some time off to care for her children, and then later found work at Cawley Company, Ahrens, and Shoto Corporation. She eventually took off of work to care for herself and her children.

Dana had a deep love for dogs and raised two of her own. She had a passion and love for all animals, and often spoke about wanting to be a veterinarian. She also loved to travel and when she was younger, went on many trips with her parents. She was able to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio; visit family in Connecticut; and also saw New York, Rhode Island, and Boston, as well as Washington, D.C. One of her favorite trips was to Florida for Disney and SeaWorld, where she and her sister were able to partake in a sea lion show!

We will always remember Dana’s big loving heart, her ability to help anyone in need, and of course, her tremendous support of the Green Bay Packers. Most of all, we will remember her pride in and love for her children Kyree and Yasmin. She always placed their needs before her own and worked tirelessly to ensure her children received a good education. Dana’s passion on earth was her kids and her love of being their mother.

Dana was also known as a kind, compassionate friend to those who knew her, and will be missed by many, but not forgotten.

Dana’s love for her family will live on in the countless lives she touched. She is survived by her parents Donald and Susan Kaderabek; sister Sheila Kaderabek; brother Eric Kaderabek; children Kyree and Yasmin Selmon, and their father Edwin Selmon, along with aunts and uncles: Donald Stefancic, David and Pam Stefancic, Mark and Mary Liccione, Jim and Jane Kaderabek, Christy Kaderabek, Ana Kaderabek, and Keith Higbee and many other cousins, relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jack and Ann Kaderabek, and Dolores and Orville Stefancic; aunts and uncles Tom Kaderabek, Dick Kaderabek, and Julie Higbee.

Cremation has taken place at Harrigan Parkside Crematory Chapel. Relatives and friends may greet the family at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Ave., Manitowoc, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, for visitation at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. Arogya Prashanth Gade at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is invited to visit with the family after Mass, in the Gathering Room at church from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to celebrate Dana’s life with lunch and further fellowship.
