Daniel "Merv" Stradal, age 51, of 3710 Platt View Court, Manitowoc, entered eternal life unexpectedly Thursday, July 7, 2011 at his residence.

Daniel was born on October 5, 1959 in Manitowoc. He was the son of Jean Mangin Stradal and the late Howard A. Stradal. He attended Roncalli High School where he was an avid wrestler and graduated with the class of 1978. He then continued his education at St. Norbert's College, DePere, Wisconsin where he received his bachelor's degree. Daniel had been employed as an accountant with Johnsonville Sausage Company. He enjoyed riding his bike and motorcycle. Daniel had a love like his father for his four pet "ladys".

He is survived by his mother: Jean Stradal, Manitowoc; one sister: Ann Stradal, Manitowoc; one brother: John Stradal, Manitowoc; also surviving are special cousins: Lee Allen, Dolly Stokes, Mary Ann Schroeder along with good friends Jeannie Loberger, Jane and Jim Kaderabek. He was preceded in death by his father: Howard on March 13, 2011.

Memorial services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel Felton. Burial of the cremated remains will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Daniel's favorite charity, the Lakeshore Humane Society.
