Daniel H. Terry's Obituary
Daniel H. Terry, age 61, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on Tuesday morning, February 8, 2011 at his residence as the result of a brain tumor.
Dan was born on March 19, 1949 in Manitowoc to the late Milton and Johnette Nicholas Terry. He was baptized at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Dan began his education at First German Evangelical Lutheran School, and then went on to graduate from Lincoln High School with the class of 1967. On February 6, 1971 Dan married Gail Wagner at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was employed with Manitowoc Cranes for 40 years until his retirement in December of 2010. Dan enjoyed spending his time woodworking, golfing, going to his cottage "up North", and being with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife: Gail; two sons: Keith (Kelly) Terry, West Bend; and Jason Terry, Oconto Falls; one granddaughter: Addison Terry, West Bend; one brother: James Terry, Manitowoc; one aunt: Berdine Ording, Manitowoc; mother-in-law: Claire Wagner, Marinette; brother-in-law: Jerry (Barb) Wagner, Manitowoc; his golfing buddies: Gene "Kelly" Kelliher, Jeff Luckow, Roger Larson, and Bill Leist; also other relatives and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents: Milton and Johnette Terry; and one brother: John Terry.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 4 pm until the time of the memorial service at 6:30 pm. The Rev. Eric Kolonich will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Two Rivers, Holy Family Memorial Hospice in Manitowoc, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, or the donor's choice.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Andrew Yetter and Dr. David Rohde and staff, hospice nurses Leah O'Barski and Jane Resar, Pastor Richard Miller and Pastor Eric Kolonich, Rahlf Proulx, Molly LaFond, Becky Schleis, Deb Gillen and Jill Skarda for all of their care and support.
