Darlene D. Engeldinger, age 65, a resident of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Darlene was born on April 22, 1949 in Manitowoc to the late Arnold and Erma Krumrey Schroeder. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1967. Darlene later pursued her life-long dream and obtained her certification to become a truck driver. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, shooting pool, and spending her time with family and friends.
Survivors include Darlene's two daughters: Teresa Kippola and her special friend, Roger Dorsch, Appleton; and Pam Hammersley and her special friend, Jeff Posvic, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Joshua Danay, Tyler Danay, Brianna (Jacob) Genske, Courtney Miller, Shauna Hammersley, and Kalei Hammersley; two great granddaughters: Olivia and Anais; a special cousin: Joanne; also other relatives and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents: Arnold and Erma Schroeder; brother: Eugene Schroeder; and sister-in-law: Kathy Schroeder.
A Life Celebration Social will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Darlene's cremated remains to be at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
