Darlene E. Fischer, age 81, a resident of Two Rivers, entered eternal life on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.

Darlene was born on August 10, 1938 in Sheboygan. She was the daughter of the late William and Lita Nicklaus Fischer.  Darlene was a graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan with the class of 1956.  She continued her education at St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac receiving her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Darlene then became employed at Kenosha Memorial Hospital for over 20 years.  In 1979 Darlene became employed at Holy Family Memorial Hospital until 1983 followed by employment at St. Mary's Home for 20 years retiring in 2003.  Darlene was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church.

She is survived by one brother: James (Iris) Fischer, Monico; two sisters:  Nathalie Fischer, Grafton, and Gail Kraus, PA; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lita Fischer, one sister, Elaine Fischer, one brother, Rev. William Fischer, and her best friend of 63 years, Sandra Johnson.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1712 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Zachary DeArmond.  Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.  Relatives and friends may call at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
