Darlene A.
Sauve
February 25, 1950 – February 11, 2022
Darlene Ann Sauve, age 71, a resident of St. Nazianz, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
She was born on February 25, 1950 in Milwaukee to the late William and Elizabeth (Jeffords) Starker. After graduating high school in Milwaukee, Darlene attended college to train as a cosmetologist. On May 27, 1972 she was united in marriage to James Sauve. They became parents to two fine sons, Christopher and Dale. Over the years Darlene had owned a tanning salon, was involved greatly with the operation of their family restaurant, and had moved to Arizona, for a time, to become a craft coordinator and instructor. Eventually they moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family and friends. She also had needed to receive a liver (fondly named Larry) transplant and chose to do so in Wisconsin.
Darlene had a love of baking, crafting, sewing, card making, and traveling to Arizona and Florida. No matter what Darlene had going on she always found time to be a loving wife, a loving mother to her children, and a loving auntie to all of her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her husband, James; sons, Christopher (Kelly) Sauve and Dale Sauve (long-time girlfriend, Diane Klatkiewicz); sisters, Kathleen Starker and Susan Starker; and nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, Richard Starker, William "Butch" Starker, Robert Starker, John Starker, and Sharon (Starker) Moran.
In respect of Darlene's wishes and those of the family, there will be no visitation or service at this time. There will be a celebration of life planned in the future. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
A special thank you to the staff of Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee and to the many doctors and nurses across Wisconsin for all of the amazing service and help they have given over the years.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11 th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
