David P. Johnson, age 64, Manitowoc, passed away after a lingering illness on Friday morning, December 23, 2011 at his residence.
David was born March 27, 1947 in Manitowoc. He was the son of Mary J. (Wuellner) Johnson and the late William W. "Bear" Johnson. David was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. On March 28, 1967 he married Mary Beth Rydzewski. David was employed at the Herald Times Reporter as a Journeyman printer for 29 years followed by 10 years of employment at the Kohler until his early retirement due to a debilitating illness.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Mary Beth Johnson; two daughters and one son-in-law: Sonja L. and Troy A. Reynolds, Manitowoc; Tessa M. Lovro, South Dakota; four grandchildren: Whitney E. Reynolds, Raissa J.D. Reynolds, Clay M. Lovro, and Deven M. Lovro; his mother: Mary J. (Wuellner) Johnson; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy A. and Judy Johnson, Two Rivers, wI; Mark T. and Joann Johnson, Las Vegas, NV; Randy and Linda Johnson, Plymouth, WI; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Diane M. and Ralph G. Mrozinski, Manitowoc, WI; Judy A. Halinski, IL; and many loving nieces, nephews other relatives and friend also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: William W. "Bear" Johnson; father-in-law: Gerald J. Rydzewski; mother-in-law: Helen M. (Klein) Rydzewski; one brother-in-law: Donald R. Halinski; one sister-in-law: Patricia A. Rydzewski.
Friends and family may call at the home of Troy and Sonja Reynolds, 7340 North Union Road, Manitowoc, on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. to pay their respects.
