David Allen
Rezachek
September 3, 1959 – October 22, 2025
David Allen Rezachek, age 66, of Lena, WI passed away peacefully in his home on October 22, 2025 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
David was born September 3, 1959, in Manitowoc to Nancy and Charles Rezachek. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1977 and went on to obtain a degree in Printing and Graphic Arts from Lakeshore Technical College. He held various positions in his lifetime, the most prominent of which was co-ownership selling manufactured homes. His favorite part of the job was helping to fulfill the dreams of potential home buyers. As a teenager, David was a volunteer at YARC, Youth Association for Retarded Citizens. David worked and served as a direct support professional for over twenty years, caring for the disabled in adult family home settings. David's positive attitude and compassion for individuals helped improve the quality of life for many and was inspiring to both clients and colleagues alike. David was once even celebrated for saving the life of a client.
Until his own disability, David lived his life to the fullest. He was a passionate music lover, traveler, and was always up for new adventures. He enjoyed going to concerts for some of the greatest pop and rock artists from Cher to Pink Floyd. David's love of and deep appreciation for nature was inspiration in much of his own painting and container gardening. David loved animals; breeding cocker spaniels for a time. He enjoyed raising chickens and was an ornithological enthusiast. His current pets are turtles Myrtle and Bob and his furry companion Meh, Dave and Tim's cat. He was a proud fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved to cook and explore new cuisine. More than this he was a trusted friend and confident to many, and a stranger to no one.
He is survived by his partner Timothy Merritt; David's father and mother, Charles and Nancy Rezachek; his sister Ellen Wilhelm; and brothers and sisters-in-law Gary (Bev) Rezachek and Stephen (Jena) Rezachek. Nieces and nephews: Tyler (Sara), James, Joleen (Mark), Katelyn, Justice and Jordan as well as great nieces and nephews Ayana, Zuri, Isaac, Charlotte, Matthew and Bristol. He is further survived by his Aunts Iris, Faye, Gloria and Tracy and Uncles John, Chuck, and Neal. Many close cousins, dear friends and other relatives further survive. He was preceded in death by his brother Gene, brother-in-law Jim, and nephew Kevin.
