Dave was born May 29, 1946, the second of eight children born to Arnold and Albertha (Jung) Tienor. He graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School, Clarks Mills, and Valders High School where he made many lifelong friends. Dave worked at Bahr Construction and A.H. Voight Lumber before starting his 28-year career in the Maintenance Department at Valders Area School District. He took great pride in preparing the athletic fields for the sporting events. Dave truly enjoyed trouble shooting electrical or plumbing problems at the schools. He was a proud member of the Wisconsin National Guard in Two Rivers. In 1971 Dave married Kathie Gries at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Osman. They celebrated 54 years together.

He also leaves behind many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother: Donald Tienor; two sisters: Delores Basken and Mary (Jim) LaFond; brother-in-law: Jim Wadzinski; brother-in-law: Ralph Gries; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Elmer and Marie Gries; and step mother-in-law: Margaret Gries.
