Delores M. Kurtzbach, age 83, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Friday afternoon, September 30, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Delores was born on May 11, 1933 in Middle Inlet, WI. She was the daughter of the late Alphia and Ersel Olson Van. Delores attended Crivitz High School and Marinette High School. She worked with her husband for many years with their rental properties. On June 10, 1951 she married Robert T. Kurtzbach in Marinette. Delores was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Delores was well known for her hospitality and good food. She always made you feel welcome. No one left hungry. Her cinnamon rolls were the best!
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Robert; three children: Connie (Douglas) Brown, Manitowoc; Kelly Kurtzbach, Crivitz; Thomas (Carla) Kurtzbach, Manitowoc; daughter-in-law: Debra Matczynski, Manitowoc; fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alphia and Ersel Van; one son: Bruce; six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mr. Jeremy Anderson. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral services there will be a luncheon for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
