Derek D. Meyer, age 59, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Derek was born on May 21, 1964 in Manitowoc.  He is the son of Suzanne Carbon Avery and Ronald Meyer.  Derek was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1982.  He was employed at the Kohler Company for 35 years.  On April 7, 2005 he married Michelle Bast in Las Vegas, NV.  Derek was a member of the Manitowoc Fish and Game Association and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Michelle, two sons, Dylan Bietzel, Nashville, TN and Matthew Krogman, Spirit Lake, Iowa; mother, Suzanne Avery, Manitowoc; father, Ronald (Jane) Meyer, Manitowoc;   brother, Todd (Becky) Meyer, Manitowoc; sister, Kari (Joel) Merrill, Green Bay; along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
