Diane Akgulian, age 85, a resident of Manitowoc, peacefully entered eternal life on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Diane was born on March 17th, 1939, to Vincent and Marge Rohlf. Diane was a graduate of Kaukauna High School with the class of 1957. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she met the love of her life, Tony Akgulian, who she married in June 1960 in Kaukauna. Diane was a wonderful homemaker and later started Valley Mobile Shredding with Tony where she worked alongside him and served as president of the company.  Diane and Tony enjoyed wintering at their home in Naples, Florida where they provided their granddaughters with some wonderful experiences. They resided the rest of the year in Manitowoc, very much enjoying their family and friends.

Diane is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Christian and Kris Akgulian, Manitowoc, two granddaughters, Kalina and Michaelyn Akgulian, siblings Gretchen (Lee), Bill (Jennifer) and Tom (Lynn). She was preceded in death by her husband Tony.

A Life Celebration Social for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place with burial at a future date.

The family would like to convey their special thanks to the wonderful staff at LakeHouse Manitowoc Assisted Living and Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care.

Diane had a gift for entertaining and was a fabulous cook, a skill she passed onto her son. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, friend, and the best mom a kid could ask for.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
