Diane Marie Emmett passed away at the age of 78 on Monday, August 7, 2023 surrounded by family and friends.  Diane lived a life of service.  Her first service was to her education as she received a nursing degree from Loyola University in Chicago.  Her second service was to her country as she proudly served as a nurse in the Navy during the Vietnam War.  Her third service was to disadvantaged families as she spent decades as a visiting nurse in Chicago and Milwaukee.  Her fourth service was to God as she was committed to her faith and spiritual beliefs.  Her fifth service was to her family as she was a proud daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Diane is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, James and Nina Emmett and Bill and Katie Emmett.  She is also survived by 4 sisters, 1 brother, 4 brothers-in-law, and 1 sister-in-law: Marilynn and Frank Filetti, Linda and Mike Pieper, Addie and Joe Mocca, Kathy and Mike Hack, Jerry and Linda Mostek. Diane is also survived by 7 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by parents Adeline and Jerome Mostek.

A private gathering for the family will be on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home followed by military honors accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #731.  Burial will take place on Tuesday morning at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, WI.
