Diane (Enz)
Sauermilch
June 13, 1946 – February 17, 2025
Diane (Enz) Sauermilch, born June 13, 1946, passed from this world on February 17, 2025 to meet her lord and those that preceded her in death including: her mother Florence (Jensen) Enz, brother Donald Enz, brother-in-law Richard (Dick) Sauermilch, mother and father-in-law Fritz and Lorraine Sauermilch, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Sandy Sippel, nephews Dean Sippel and Paul Enz, niece Kristine Peart, granddaughter Jacki Simonar, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years Douglas Sauermilch, her children Michelle Simonar, Tracy (Tim) Froelich, Penny (Joe) Harrison and Richard (Rick) Sauermilch. She is further survived by her 13 grandchildren Sammi and Danni Simonar; TJ, Taylor, Teagan, Teddi, Treyder, Tairick, Tommi, Trazden and Toni Froelich; Izabel, Izaac, Izaleigh (due in March) Harrison. She is also survived by her siblings David (Rose) Enz, Ed (Mae) Enz, Bill (Kathy) Enz, Karen (Don) Anderson, Terry (Kim) Enz, Linda Hetue and her significant other Ron Sielo, and Kevin Enz; and siblings-in-law Lillian Enz, Sharon Enz, Jody Nienow, Sara Siebert and her significant other Jeff Korinek, and Connie Wordell. She will be greatly missed by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Diane loved family, cooking (especially over an open fire), reading, gardening, camping, music, traveling, games, and having get-togethers for family, friends, and neighbors. She loved life and believed in family first, and always welcomed friends of the families as one of her own. She also believed in working hard but playing harder. Cooking with abandon was one of her favorite pastimes. She believed in quality over quantity in all things except when cooking - where she gave both! If you left hungry it was your own darned fault. Those close to her will miss her greatly.
We, her loved ones, would like to thank all of those who touched Diane's life, including all of the doctors and nurses who provided such wonderful care, and all of those who have helped us through this time of loss in even the smallest ways.
Per her wishes, Diane's cremation has taken place at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory in Manitowoc. Her celebration of life will be June 15, 2025 from 12-6 at Maribel Lions Clubhouse, 10300 Mulberry St, Maribel, WI 54227.
