Diane M. Sedlacek, age 71, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the family residence with her family by her side.

Diane was born on April 28, 1946 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late John and Esther Schrimpf Gerl. Diane was employed at Holiday House for 20 years retiring in 2015. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Prayer Shawl Group, and the Women Spirituality Group.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years: Mark; three children: Abigail Sedlacek, Pittsburg, PA; Jonathon Sedlacek, Bedford, MA; Leah (Matthew) Goodness, Washburn; three grandchildren: Paul, Owen, and Noah; one sister: Marlene Strathmann, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
