Donn E. Kleis, age 81, resident of Milwaukee, entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in Manitowoc.

Donn was born on August 22, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Frederick and Margurite Myers Kleis. He graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis with the class of 1951. After he graduated, Donn enlisted with the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1955. Donn was employed for most of his working career as a lithographer for Moebius Printing Company until his retirement. He filled in 19 of his retirement years by driving a school bus. Donn enjoyed taking the children to school and always referred to them as "my kids". On July 6, 1985, Donn married Kay Lynn Marquardt in Milwaukee. Donn loved history – especially the Civil War. He also enjoyed cooking, following the Green Bay Packers, and most of all, being with his wife, Kay.

Survivors include Donn's wife of nearly 29 years: Kay; step-son: Robert (Barbara) Marquardt; brother: Charles (Linda) Kleis; sister: Nancy Huber; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donn was preceded in death by his parents: Frederick and Margurite Kleis, and sister: Virginia Bishop.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Flowers, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005 on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Chaplain Maryclaire Torinus will officiate with entombment to follow.
