Obituary

Donna Sue Meyer, age 75, passed away peacefully December 28, 2020 at Manitowoc Health & Rehab in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was born July 17, 1945 in Alva, Oklahoma to Lee and Gladys (Dunkin) Abbott.

Donna had such a fun and loving personality. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She also made incredibly beautiful paintings. She was a collector of coins and stamps. Though she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis as a teenager, she never let her illness define her and lived her best life every day.

For many years Donna owned and ran D&K Vet Supply in Frederick, Oklahoma and also was a Mary Kay consultant. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and thoroughly enjoyed wearing the fancy red and purple hats and spending time with her friends.

Donna is survived by her brothers and wives Tom and Jane Abbott, Bobbie and Barbara Abbott; sisters and husbands Lila Altamirano, Gladys and Virgil Chance, Nancy Brown; sister in law Dee Abbott; son and partner Daniel Tidwell and Christena Bryant; daughter and husband Tesica and Raymond Miettinen; grandchildren Jason and wife Stephanie, Sarah and husband Casey, Morgan, Ian, Brandy, Natalia, Claudia, Desirae, Keira, Darian, and Kelsey; great grandchildren Lydia, JJ, Jonathan, Jacob, Dakota, Journey, AbigaleAshlin, and MJ; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and her dear friend Stephanie Staples. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Gladys Abbott; brother Max Abbott; brother in laws Ambrosio Altamirano and Floyd Brown; husbands Daniel Tidwell Sr and Karl Meyer.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Manitowoc Health and Rehab where Donna resided for many years. Many of the staff became like family members to Donna over the years. Also many thanks to the staff of Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice for making sure her last couple of months were comfortable and filled with love, especially her hospice nurse Jeremy who held a special place in her heart.

Donna's burial will take place this coming summer in Waco, TX where she will be laid to rest with her love, Daniel Tidwell, Sr.  Due to her family being spread around the country and current travel difficulties, there will be no in person service at this time.
