Donna M. Pitsch, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
Donna was born on May 12, 1930 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Ervin and Caroline Galbraith Delsman. Donna was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1948. She had been employed as a phone operator at the Manitowoc Telephone Company for many years and then later at the Manitowoc Answering Service. On July 8, 1950 she married Richard M. Pitsch at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Donna enjoyed doing ceramics and camping. She also enjoyed the 18 years she and her husband wintered in Arizona.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Richard; six children: Carol A. (Fred) Ellerman, Manitowoc; Kay F. Leikam, Manitowoc; Mary C. McVey, Shawano; James A. (Nyla) Pitsch, Manitowoc; Jake (Anna) Young, Madison; Robert Young, Moscow, Russia; four grandchildren: Amber (Eric) Endries, Michael (Marie) McVey, Susan Dorsette and special friend Brad Madigan, Brian (Selena) Pitsch; two step grandchildren: David and Tim Carty; fifteen great grandchildren, one niece: Debbie Delsman; one nephew: Eric (Lucy) Delsman; one brother-in-law: Dennis Pitsch, Florida; along with other relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ervin and Caroline Delsman; one brother and sister-in-law: Ervin "Bud" and Kathleen Delsman; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Diane Bright; Maxine and Harlan Hynek.
A Life Celebration Social will be held for relatives and friends on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 3 p.m to 6 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Burial of the cremains will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
