Obituary

Dorine O. Kluenker, age 96. of Manitowoc, entered her heavenly home in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.

Dorine was born on July 20, 1919 in Lorton, Nebraska. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Olga (Grimm) Broeking. Dorine attended grade school in the Stanley, Wisconsin area and graduated from Stanley High School with the class of 1936. She continued her education and graduated from Wausau Business College and then became employed by Employers Mutual Insurance Company in Wausau. On September 5, 1943 she married Karl Kluenker at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Stanley. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1988. Dorine was employed by Lube Devices Inc. and National Dairy Division of A & P, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies of Immanuel and also volunteered for Anchor Pregnancy Counseling Center. Dorine and her husband, Karl, were involved at Pinecrest Historical Village for several years.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Carolyn (Larry) Raether, Manitowoc; Charles (Maggie) Kluenker, Roseville, CA; Ruth (Rev. John) Mattek, Waukesha; Paul (Chris) Kluenker, Manitowoc; fifteen grandchildren: Thomas (Sarah) Raether, Karryn (Herbie) Leong, Kristin (Jeff) Brown; David (Jenn) Kluenker, John (Carrie) Kluenker, Jeffrey (Laurie) Kluenker, Katie (Luke) Birge, John Mattek, Gregg (Heather) Mattek, Rev. Jeremy (Karen) Mattek, Paul (Julia) Mattek, Mark Mattek, Kathryn (Rev. Dustin) Blumer, Laura (Robert) Martens, Keith (Sara) Kugler; twenty four great grandchildren, one sister-in-law: Regina Broeking, Merrill; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Olga Broeking; husband: Karl; one brother: Carl Broeking; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Louise (Paul) Kempfert; June (Wilbert) Hasche.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be her grandson, Rev. Jeremy Mattek with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The visitation will continue on Saturday at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
