Dorinne M. Green passed away on April 29, 2025, at age 61. Her last day was filled with talking and laughing with loved ones and making new friends with her nurses.

Dorinne loved stories and storytelling, from comedy to drama she loved the artform and saw that everyone and everything, even everyday objects, had a story worth telling and hearing. She had a talent for creating new things but especially in finding the beauty in things others had discarded and turning them into treasures. These two things combined to give her great joy as she met so many people while selling her crafts. She loved her pets (current cats Henry, Gus, Pumpkin, Smidgen, Harry and Yoda, and dog Ellie, and many beloved pets who have gone before), the sights and sounds of Lake Michigan, her big picture window where she watched the neighborhood dogs go from puppies to full grown as they walked past over the years and the antics of the many animals that called the tree outside home (especially Two Spots, the larger than life squirrel!), sharing silly videos and memes to make us laugh, the power of music, and of course, talking our ears off about Korean dramas! All this is to say, she was a happy, positive person who could find joy in everything. She was bright, funny, bubbly, empathic and loving, kindhearted and honest, and she never turned her back on anyone she loved. She was truly the best mom we could have ever asked for.

Dorinne is survived by her two kids, Merritt and Devin Green, five siblings, many nieces and nephews, and her six grandcats, as she called them. She was preceded in death her parents and three siblings.

A formal, mournful funeral was not her style, she'd prefer a celebration of life and joy instead. One of her favorite things in life was get-togethers where she could sit and listen to people talk and laugh, especially over a plate of food. So to celebrate her, there will be a gathering at Time Out, 1027 N. Rapids Rd., Manitowoc, WI, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. for family and friends to help fill the room with life and laughter in her honor. If you cannot attend, her wish would be that you watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and be kind to others.
