Dorothy Jane Burk, age 85, of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, went home to the Lord Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc, WI. She was born October 22, 1933 in New Castle, IN, to the late Orville Albutis and Mary Helen (Scott) Burke.

Dorothy was married to her late husband, Thomas Edward Burk for 49 years. Over the years they made their home in New Castle, IN, Richmond, IN, Gainesville, FL, and Warner Robins, GA. She loved Jesus, singing and playing her guitar, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grand kids. After her husband's passing in 2005, Dorothy became a "snowbird" spending summers with her son's family in Wisconsin and winters with her daughter's family in Georgia.

Survivors include her children, Thomas (wife, Lori) Burk, Manitowoc, WI, and Timi Matherly, Warner Robins, GA. Grandchildren to include Joel and Carlye Burk, Manitowoc, WI, Kylah (husband, Ian) Wheeler, Woodstock, GA, and Elijah Matherly (fiancé, Griselda Jasmin Ramirez De Hoyo) Warner Robins, GA. Great-grandchildren include, Rory and Reece Wheeler, and Jayden Caleb Ramirez. Siblings include Carl Burke of New Castle, IN, Charles (wife, Gloria) Burke of New Castle, IN, Jimmy Burke of New Castle, IN, and David (wife, Martha) Burke of New Castle, IN, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Billy Burke, Carol Sue Braunm, Jack Burke, Earla Call, brother-in-laws, Chuck Call and Johnny Braunm, and sister-in-laws, Helen Burke, Ruth Anne Burke, and Mable Burke.
