Dorothy "Ma" Crocker, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Dorothy was born on May 27, 1924 in Sheboygan to the late Roy and Lillian Radey Streich. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1942. On August 7, 1949, Dorothy married Keith Crocker at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1992. Dorothy worked for seven years at Mirro Aluminum in the purchasing department, but is most remembered as "Ma Crocker" the study hall supervisor at Lincoln High School where she worked for 36 years until her retirement in 2005. She loved working with the students and said they kept her young. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending her time with her family, friends, and pets.
Survivors include Dorothy's two children: Kevin (Debbie Marcelle) Crocker, Green Bay; and Colleen (Jerry) Crocker-MacMillin, Sturgeon Bay; grandsons: Rory (Rachel Sowinski) Crocker-MacMillin and Aaron (Amy) MacMillin; great granddaughter: Jillian MacMillin; also nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Keith; sister: Ruth Lesperance; and special friend: Gene Bray.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Feyen officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Burial of Dorothy's cremated remains will take place at Hope United Church of Christ Memorial Gardens in Sturgeon Bay.
