Douglas P. Stankey, age 64, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Doug was born on April 13, 1960 in Manitowoc.  He was the son of the late Ralph and Patricia (Klein) Stankey.  Doug was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1978.  He continued his education at the Dunwoody Architectural Institute in Minneapolis, MN.  Doug had a professional career as an architect project manager.  He was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Manitowoc.  Doug was an avid fisherman particularly fishing for Muskies and he also enjoyed attending live music concerts.

He is the loving brother of David Stankey, Eagle River and sister, Cindy (Tom) Zagorski, Sussex, cherished uncle of Jacob, Brittany (Jake), and Ryan (Chelsey), proud great uncle of Liona and Miles, caring stepfather of Amanda and Gregory and step grandfather of Tenley, along with other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Patricia Stankey and nephew, Aaron Zagorski.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home followed by a Life Celebration Social from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, located on the south property of the funeral home.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
